The word "feeling" might be hackneyed when it comes to music, but sometimes you just have to. As with Ana Diaz. The artist who wrote hits for greats like Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez and Zara Larsson before deciding to step into the spotlight. Something which turned out to be a fantastic decision. Diaz proved that, besides being a world-class melodist, she also possesses a truly rare talent for handling words. A sung poetry that places the listener so close it almost burns, as Ana Diaz balances between sorrow and comfort; between gloomy kitchen sink realism and healing hopefulness.
After releasing the crushingly beautiful single ’100’ in 2019, the debut album ’Tröst och vatten’ finally arrived in 2020. An album that, in addition to being loved by fans and critics alike, was recently awarded two Grammis – one for ’Pop Album of the Year’ and one for ’Lyricist of the Year’. Ana Diaz also participated in ’Så Mycket Bättre’ in 2020, where she was a great success as both an interpreter and a composer.
