Máret Ánne Sara (born 1983) is an artist and writer. She comes from a family of reindeer herders in Kautokeino in northern Norway and is currently active in her home town. Sara's work deals with political and social issues affecting Sámi communities in general and reindeer herding communities in particular.
Sara has created posters, CD and LP covers, visual scenography and textile prints for several Sami artists, designers and institutions. She is the initiator and co-founder of the artist collective Dáiddadállu Artist Collective Kautokeino.
In 2014, Sara was nominated for the Nordic Council Children and Young People's Literature Prize for her debut book Ilmmid gaskkas (Between worlds).
Her project Pile o’ Sápmi was presented at Documenta 14 in Kassel in 2017. In 2022, Sara was one of three Sámi artists who transformed the Nordic Pavilion into the Sámi Pavilion at Venice Biennale.

In cue ball is a silver amulet that adorns most prams or Sami cradles, known as coma, around Sápmi. In Sámi tradition, the cowslip is considered to have protective powers.
