The travelling exhibition Arctic Highways has opened at its last destination before it gets its permanent home in Gran\u00f6. In a collaboration between Saemien Sijte in Sn\u00e5sa and Steinkjer Kulturhus, the art exhibition will be on display until 19 September 2025. Steinkjer is located a few kilometres north of Trondheim and Sn\u00e5sa a few kilometres further north.<\/p>\n
The exhibition opened at 12 noon in Sn\u00e5sa and at 4 pm in Stenkjer with similar programmes.<\/p>\n
The speakers were Arnt Einar Bardal, Chairman of Sn\u00e5sa Municipality, Birgitta Fossum, Director of Saemien Sijte, Gjertrud Holan, Head of Culture at Stenkjer, and Gunnhild Tettli, Head of the Stenkjer Cultural Centre.<\/p>\n
This was followed by a few words from the curators and artists Britta Marakatt-Labba, Gunvor Guttorm and Toman Colbengtsson.<\/p>\n
Jan Wejdmark, initiator of the exhibition and chairman of the board of M\u00f6tesplats Gran\u00f6, then spoke.<\/p>\n
The exhibition was opened by Mr Ole-Henrik Bj\u00f8rkmo Lifjell of the Norwegian Sami Parliament. A cultural element was provided by actress, playwright, storyteller and joik Cecilia Persson.<\/p>\n
Afterwards, visitors mingled with the caterers and organisers.<\/p>\n
