In a collaboration between Saemien Sijte in Sn\u00e5sa and Steinkjer Kulturhus, the Arctic Highways art exhibition opens on Friday 19 June 2025. Steinkjer is located a few kilometres north of Trondheim and Sn\u00e5sa a few kilometres further north.<\/p>\n

The travelling exhibition has been touring North America since 2022: Washington DC, Chicago, New York, Seattle, Minneapolis and Santa Fe in the US and Whitehorse in Canada. It has received a lot of public and media attention.<\/p>\n

Now, Arctic Highways is back in Europe and will be on display in Sn\u00e5sa and Steinkjer in Norway during the summer of 2025. After that, it will become a permanent exhibition in Gran\u00f6.<\/p>\n

More information will be available on what the programme will include during the opening. The programme will start at 12.00 at Saemien Sijte in Sn\u00e5sa and at 16.00 at Steinkjer kulturhus.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The exhibition gives the audience a unique opportunity to experience strong artistic expressions that challenge, engage and expand the understanding of Sami identity and belonging. \u201dSaemien Sijte is the only S\u00e1mi venue for the exhibition and we look forward to exhibiting art from many recognised indigenous artists.
