Arctic Highways to the Nordland Museum in Bodø

We are pleased to let you know that Arctic Highways moves on to the Nordland Museum in Bodø, Norway. Between 3 October 2026 and 17 January 2027, the exhibition will be on display at Bodø City Museum.

Arctic Highways brings together contemporary artistry from Sápmi and the Arctic, exploring issues surrounding identity, place, culture, language, land, and the relationship between humans and nature.

At the Nordland Museum, visitors encounter works in a range of different expressions – from textiles, photography and video to sculpture and duodji. Among the participating artists are Matti Aikio, Tomas Colbengtson, Marja Helander, Dan Jåma, Laila Susanna Kuhmunen, Britta Marakatt-Labba and Olof Marsja.

That the exhibition is now coming to Bodø is part of Arctic Highways' continuing journey through the Arctic landscape. By moving between different locations, new encounters are created between artists, works and audiences, while the conversation about contemporary Sámi art and life in the Arctic continues.
